My personal story isn't a a big one... I was born, attended school, worked, then finally found some information online. However, it also contains some traumatic moments in which I thought that all was lost forever. One of those moments was when my laptop computer at home ceased to respond. After some fiddling, changing my old desktop into the new one, and more tinkering, I was eventually able to restore the entire work on that drive. It took me three days of sweating, and some metaphorical tears... However, I discovered one fact: Dropbox and personal FTP servers are a great way to backup my daily tasks by hand or automatically. But it's definitely not the ideal solution.. You'll have to spend more money to maintain your data storage online. It's very simple and secure. It's also extremely easy to download it from any internet-connected device. What happens if the internet is not available? I'm glad to carry my laptop around for those times. It's my only secure backup location. I have two drives, one for each HDD. This lets them copy each other and also makes sure that only one copy is left in case of failure. I just copy things there, usually, and rarely make the laptop work, this way I'm hoping two drives will not go out on the same day..Another big day of sadness was a few months back. I take care not to lose my work, and as I stated above, now I duplicate it many times and have access to it wherever internet is available. It was different this time, it was about Periscope. I have used it many years back. I even participated in live streaming during the Riots last summer 2020. Periscope TV has now closed and all videos will disappear within weeks. What should I do next? All of the videos must be downloaded to my laptop to be saved offline. These are very special to me. It's the only time I've seen my friend, who disappeared from the radars during Covid. Seems like it got him.<img width="486" src="http://wpshopmart.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/ListenToYouTube-696x559.jpg"> http://bvkrongbong.com/Default.aspx?tabid=120&ch=501261 The site is one that I frequently visit. It allows me to download video content from Youtube and Instagram, as well as Facebook - which are some of the places that I store the majority of my live streams. I'm interested in politics and underground movements. I also record a lot of live events and save them for later use. I then post them to my YouTube? channel and save it into my computer. This is how I do it. Plus it allows me to cross-post videos to multiple platforms, not just post YouTube? videos on Facebook however, I can also upload that video onto Facebook and let it be an original video on its own. It's incredible the amount of live streams I have created over the past eight years. I now have three TB. Periscope will not disappear.. This site truly helps me.It works like a charm. The video I would like to save to Periscope or Youtube is displayed. I then copy the URL using the share button. Then , I visit the video downloader site and paste the video URL wherever they'd like it. press the big button and within minutes I have options to download video, save it on my desktop or laptop, to transfer it to other platforms and simple preserve it for my loved ones. Periscope might not be accessible on all platforms. This site is able to manage m3u8 files that other websites download for you. I then navigate to the video downloader site and copy my video's URL where they want it. Then, I click on the big button. The video isn't downloaded to my computer, it's online and it plays online when player loads tiny fragments one by one.If you don't know this, windows can use the copy command to assist you combine such fragments and make a standard 1 long video file. This happens due to the format of video used to create the video fragments - Mpeg TS, also known as transport stream. It contains all the information necessary for video decoding in each of the fragments, making them independent from the stream so that each new user can start streaming seamlessly. It saves browser data, too. Instead of downloading a single hour file it downloads 360x 10 second files. If you watch only for 25 seconds, your player downloads only 3-4 fragments. The current 25 second stretch includes 3-4 fragments. This allows you to save lots of data by downloading only 25 seconds of video stream.
