My personal story isn't too long. My story isn't a long one. I was born, attended school, worked, and finally got online. But, it also includes some devastating moments where I thought my life was done. One of these was when the computer in my home went dark. After a little tweaking, acquiring a new desktop and moving hard drive from my old one into new one, I was able to restore all the work on that drive. It took me 3 days of sweating, and literally tears... Following that, I've learned one thing - to use Dropbox and my personal ftp servers to automatically and manually backup my entire day's work, so it is impossible to be deleted. http://oxygenflower5.xtgem.com/__xt_blog/__xtblog_entry/__xtblog_entry/25442575-one-time-in-an-enemy-camp-i-didn-t-have-internet-for-accessing-my-presentation.-i-explained-how-i-dealt-with-the-issue?__xtblog_block_id=1#xt_blog However, it isn't the most efficient option. The bigger your online data storage becomes, the more you must pay to maintain all of it, and keep it online. It's very simple and secure. It's also accessible and can be downloaded from any location with internet access. What happens where WiFi? or another internet connection is not available? I'm glad to keep my laptop with me for those times. It's my only safe harbour for backups. There are two drives on it with one for each HDD. This allows them to copy one another and assures that one copy will remain in the event of failure. Since I don't do a lot of copying my laptop isn't very reliable. This is the reason I'm hoping that no two drives will go out at the same time.<img width="358" src="https://i.pinimg.com/736x/b3/11/4c/b3114c017c7eb30d6b0d81804892a34a.jpg">Another day of sorrow was a couple of months back.. I take care not to lose work. Like I said above, I now have multiple copies of it and can access it anywhere internet access is available. This was Periscope. I have used it quite a few years back and this past summer, during the riots in 2020, I was able to participate in some live streams.. All of suddenly Periscope TV is closing, and all the videos will disappear in just few weeks time. What should I do? I'm required to download all the videos to store them offline on my laptop. Those videos are very significant to me. I was there with my friend when he vanished from the radar of Covid. It's like it took him. This site is one I frequently visit. It lets me download videos from Youtube and Instagram and Facebook - which are some of the platforms which I save the majority of my live streams. I am a passionate participant in politics, underground movements and other underground movements. Therefore, I film many times, then save them and post them on my YouTube? channel. When the live event is over, it goes into my laptop. That's the way I work. Plus it allows me to cross-post videos across various platforms. It's not just to post YouTube? videos on Facebook, but also upload the video onto Facebook and make it an individual video of its own. And so it happens I am able to store 3TB of live feeds I've done over the past 8 years. Periscope lives aren't lost.. and this site has been very useful to me. https://zenwriting.net/playturret3/this-is-quite-a-bit-of-fact It works like magic. If I view the video I would like to download on Periscope, Youtube or Facebook or YouTube?, then copy its URL through the share link. I then go to the website for downloading videos, paste the video link there, and in a matter of seconds I will see multiple options to download video. I can save it to my desktop or laptop, transfer it to other platforms, and preserve it for my friends and loved ones. Periscope isn't on every website. However, this site offers Periscope support.By the way, if you weren't aware, you can actually make windows copy command help you join these fragments to make a normal 1 long video file. The format for video used to create video fragments is MpegTS which is also known as transport stream. It includes all the information necessary for video decoding in each fragment which makes them distinct from the stream in itself and allowing each newcomer to start streaming in a seamless manner. The browser also allows you to save information because it only downloads the documents that are relevant to the content you're watching. For example, if you only watch only 25 seconds of the stream the player downloads only 3-4 fragments. In addition it will download the next 2 or 3 fragments. This significantly reduces the amount of data needed to stream the stream for the full 25 seconds.
