My story isn't an epic one. I was born, attended college, and worked until I finally found some information online. However, there were some horrible moments, when everything seemed lost forever. One of those instances was when my laptop computer went quiet. After a bit of tweaking, shifting the hard drive from the old to the new drive, and installing a new desktop, all of my work was restored. It took three days of sweat and metaphorical tears... However, I discovered one important thing: Dropbox and personal FTP servers are a great way to backup my daily work by hand or automatically.However, it isn't the best option. The more data you save online is the higher the cost you'll have to pay for it to be preserved online. It's simple to use and seems very safe. It is also easily accessible and can be downloaded from anywhere that has internet access. But what happens if you don't have access to the internet? I'm glad to have my laptop on me for those times. It's my final secure backup location. Two drives I own that I use to create RAID stacks. They copy each other and have a backup in case one of my HDDs is damaged.
