The number one thing most people can do to instantly improve their game is play fewer hands. You should aim to be the tightest Texas holdem player in every game. You don't necessarily have to be the most tight player at the table. However, you should always strive to be one of the two or three closest players. The simple truth is that the player with the best hand wins more hands. You have the best chance to win, both now and in the long-term, if you play only your best hands. As you get more experience and become a better player, you'll start to recognize areas where you can play more hands profitably. But until then, play tight. This is your list. UNPLAYABLE. In any position, in any situation, you will only be able to play these cards if you post the big-blind and check into a hands with them. If you do not, you are folding.
